'Ottoman'

seperator

The name ottoman comes from an empire founded in 1299 by Oghuz Turks under Osman I in north-western Anatolia, a province in what is now known as Turkey. With Constantinople (Istanbul) as its capital and control of lands around the Mediterranean basin, the Ottoman Empire was at the centre of interactions between the Eastern and Western worlds for six centuries.

The vast span of this empire brought with it a rich variety to the kitchen. From the traditional barbecues of the East to the terracotta potted casseroles of Anatolia. The Ottoman cuisine provides enjoyment for all palettes. This rich variety is our inspiration and what we wish to bring to you. We have followed traditional recipes to bring you traditional dishes.

“We went along to the ottoman on nye and had a fantastic evening. The food was cooked to absolute perfection and the staff were very polite and helpful. We look forward to going back at the near future. Keep it up..”

  • The lamb beyti was delicious. My wife and daughter's meals were just as tasty. The Turkish beer is worth trying too. The waiter was very sociable and helpful. Lovely smells emanating from the charcoal grill and nice decor.
